Star Wars: The Old Republic
Wow, that’s all i can actually say about this game, and not in a bad way at all. This game has simply blown me away since i was in the beta about a month and a half ago and it just keeps getting better and better the more i play it and the more that they keep rolling out patches and people get on. I had high expectations from the start with game simply because i am an enormous star wars fan. Its just plain flat out fun and thats the best way to put it. Gone are the weary droning of grinding on and on for hours on end and being bored out of your mind while doing it. Right now the only thing really missing is having custom ui’s but im sure all in due time things of the normal mmo nature will become available. I haven’t had any real problems with the game as of this time of writing. No random crashes or anything of that sort. Everything from top to bottom you can tell that there was a massive amount of thought, work and detail put into. Just watch the opening cinematic and you’ll already feel it sucking you in and making you want to play it with how epic the story for your characters storyline can be.
Which brings me the beginning of the whole story. Even simply just picking a faction, rebels or the galactic empire, you can tell right from the get go just how awesome it will be. Once you have gone and chosen a side for you character to start on it begins by playing a elaborate movie for that faction just to immerse yourself into the battles that you are about to be taking part in. After that is done it brings you to the character creation screen in which you get to pick from the four basic classes for either side. From there each class ends up splitting into 2 classes that you pick from at level to decide what your character is for the remainder of the game. Also on top of that, there are 3 skill trees for each of those 2 class
the game is simply amazing, and for another good talk about the beginning worlds and some of the classes and what its all like you can listen to the podcast joystiq had, it was a round table discussion about the game.
