2nd round of the playoffs.

I know i haven’t kept up on the series, but that’s because I’ve been busy. San Jose won their series against Detroit and will proceed to the division finals. Whoever wins the Chicago and Vancouver series will face off with San Jose (Chicago currently leads the series 3 games to 1). Neither series in the eastern conference has come to a conclusion just yet. Pittsburgh currently leads Montreal 3 games to 2, and Boston is leading Philadelphia with 3 games to 1. Chicago plays tonight, and both eastern conference matchups take place tomorrow.

Playoffs (cont.)

Lots and Lots of playoff action tonight! 5 games total, so that’s a lot to cover! You have the Phoenix and Detroit series, Pittsburgh and Ottawa, New Jersey and Philly, Chicago and Nashville, and San Jose and Colorado. Also thats the time frame from who plays first to last. Those series are also 2-1 Phoenix, 2-1 Pittsburgh, 2-1 Philly, 1-1 Chicago/Nashville, and 2-1 Colorado. And again, all the games are almost equally balanced with each other, so theres going to be alot of tough fights for the puck, and lots of board to board action with more big hits, and im sure incredible saves. The 2 games ill be watching the most of are New Jersey v Philly, and Chicago v Nashville, but i will try to provide some sorta coverage for all of them.

Playoffs!

April 19, 2010 11 comments

Well we all know that the NHL playoffs are currently going on. i know its 3 games in for all the series but regardless, its hard to pull yourself away from all the action that has been happening. From the underdogs coming out guns ablazing and taking down the top teams in the first games. To how many games have gone to over time, be them very short overtimes, or the semi long ones so far. Theirs been bone crushing hits, amazing saves, and some nifty goals. There has also been some cheapness to but thats bound to happen, and it comes down to opinion. So far in the eastern conference you have Washington and Montreal tied at 1-1 in their series, Philly leading New Jersey in theirs 2-1, Buffalo and Boston tied at 1-1, and Pittsburgh leading Ottawa 2-1. In the western conference you have Colorado ahead of San Jose 2-1, Chicago and Nashville tied 1-1, Vancouver and Los Angeles tied 1-1, and finally Phoenix leads Detroit 2-1 in their series. Tonight you have the Caps series, the Buffalo series, and the Vancouver series. At the end of the first its tied in both games, caps and habs is 0-0 and the buffalo/boston is 1-1. These are all going to be hard fought series since almost all of the teams are evenly matched against the each other.  Theres been some mighty big saves, some good end to end action and the there has been some solid hits and goals.
