So some sales i heard about and have been confirmed already, Call of Duty:World at War will be on sale for 34.99 at best buy and the 120gb xbox 360 hdd i selling at circuit city for 79.96 but around 90% of the time its not properly marked on the shelf at that price so your best bet is to call and find out. Another trick would be to ask them to run the upc, and even if they don’t have any in stock, go to the store and request that they print out a price sheet, that way you can get to a place that would have some in stock (Wal-mart perhaps) and get them to price match it. Also they have updated the Street Fighter IV collectors edition and changed some things in it. The box art is different, there is no more Ryu figure for both versions like it was original, 360 gets c.viper and ps3 gets ryu as of right now, among some of the changes. So about all that E3 news……Theres so much! FF13 not a ps3 exclusive is probably the biggest thing that happened. Aside from that theres the whole guide redesign. The blades are still present in the design, but the guide itself has a more flip book presentation about it. Similar to windows aero that is in vista. Major Nelson has a big write-up about the dashboard and it can be found here. Nintendo didn’t announce much aside from some more add-ons for the Wii. As for the ps3, I am not entirely sure of what they announced aside from things like home being region locked, and how GT5 more than likely wont see a date earlier than 2010. Onto to the games….So many are going to be released this year. Some of the titles that I am waiting for are Gears of War 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Too Human, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Rock Band 2 (hopefully i get the premium Ion Drumset ) Dead Space, and right now my current top game, Left 4 Dead. Of course i can’t leave Chrono Trigger DS out of the picture yet. Let’s just hope that square-enix wont try to charge forty dollars for it seeing as it is just going to be a direct port of the SNES version. I feel as thought that Left 4 Dead won’t make huge numbers right off the bat (still decent mind you) but it will be like numerous other valve games, and just have a strong base and just continue to sell well for a good while. Just look at how Counter-Strike 1.6 is still being played on a large scale (just don’t look at how terrible i am at it) So all and all, there was rises and falls at e3 this year. What did you get out of it? What really got you excited and waiting with eagerness? If you haven’t noticed already ( even though its quite obvious ) my gamer tag and stuff is posted on the sidebar so like it says, feel free to add my gamer tag ( Jenag in case you cant see the card ) well aside from that theres been some rumors and decent teasers floating about the internet as of late. Things such as Left 4 Dead, which looks even better since it was announced was hinted at a possible November release by Doug Lombardi. He also hinted at there possibly being a free weekend, and the likeliness of a demo to be released as well.
Also now proven true is the recent surfacing of some Gears of War 2 rumors about the multiplayer. Some of the big ones being that GoW2 is around 65% complete, Hammerhead Grunt Locust revealed and named as such because of his shark looking helmet, Chainsaw Duels: Whoever does the quickest amount of “B” button tapping will be victorious, Your teammates can help give you an edge in the duel by shooting the opponent which will give you the upper hand on the “B” button mini-game, No duel will occur if a player is chainsawed from behind. Instead, the sexy “butt to head” chainsaw animation will kick in giving the attacker and instant kill. More Gaming news in next post.Also maybe some funnies ;D
